Novelty : Polyalkenoic acid is modified with ionogel to improve the mechanical properties of the glass ionomer cement. Ionogel modified glass ionomer cement should have enhanced antimicrobial properties due to the presence of antimicrobial ionic liquid used to prepare the ionogel

Current Development stage/ Evaluations done :
# Three batches of glass powder and polyalkenoic acid was prepared and characterized for checking the repeatability and reproducibility. The modified GIC is evaluated based on ISO 9917-1.
